Judy DeLucca receives Luminary Honors

Judy DeLuca Named National Credit Union Luminary for CEO Leadership President & CEO of New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union Selected as 2025 Credit Union Times Luminary Honoree for CEOs of Credit Unions $1 Billion and Below.

New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union (NOFFCU) proudly announces that Judy DeLuca, President & CEO, has been named the national winner in the Executive Leadership — CEO category for credit unions with assets of $1 billion and below at the 2025 Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards. This prestigious national recognition highlights leaders across the United States who demonstrate exceptional vision, innovative leadership, and measurable impact within the credit union movement.  


The Luminaries Awards honor individuals and institutions advancing the future of the credit union industry through leadership excellence, community commitment, 

Technological innovation, and member-focused strategies. The CEO category recognizes leaders who demonstrate operational excellence, strategic guidance, and a deep commitment to cooperative values. 

 

Standing out among CEOs across the country, DeLuca was selected as the 2025 national honoree in her asset category—an accomplishment that highlights both her distinguished career and NOFFCU’s ongoing impact across Southeast Louisiana. 

 

About Judy DeLuca & New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union 

Ms. DeLuca brings over 45 years of service to New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union and more than 50 years of service to the credit union industry. Her leadership has shaped NOFFCU into a nationally recognized “financial first responder,” supporting firefighters, first responders, underserved communities, and families across the region. 

 

Under her leadership, NOFFCU has: 

– Expanded its financial-first-responder mission 

– Strengthened DEI, financial equity, and community wealth-building initiatives 

– Supported disaster-resilient community infrastructure 

– Built award-winning programs in cancer-care relief, homeownership access, and community lending 

– Increased outreach to underserved and underbanked individuals across multiple parishes 

– Strengthened partnerships that reinforce generational-wealth pathways 

 

DeLuca’s Statement on the Award 

“I am humbled by this honor,” said DeLuca. “This award reflects the heart of our entire team and the passion we bring every day to serving our members. This recognition belongs equally to our staff, our executive leadership, our board, and all of the dedicated volunteers who support our mission. While we were founded by firefighters, our commitment extends far beyond them—we proudly serve all first responders, teachers, health-care workers, and the many underserved and underbanked individuals who rely on us as their financial first responders. Our purpose has always been to lift up the whole community, and this award affirms the impact of that mission.”
